This course will explore religious themes such as redemption, forgiveness, and transformation.  Participants will also explore the human themes of ambition, self-righteous violence, betrayal and hypocrisy.  To quote Blaise Pascal, “Men never do evil so completely and cheerfully as when they do it from religious conviction.”  Fr. Cozzens will also be referencing three of his novels, Master of Ceremonies; Under Pain of Mortal Sin; and The Cardinal’s Assassin.
